Last Christmas I got the Complete Studio Recordings of Led Zeppelin. The set includes all nine albums, with all of the original artwork included. Led Zeppelin pioneered the development of heavy-metal rock music. Jimmy Page started the band in 1968 with lead singer Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. In 1980 the band broke up after Bonham died of an alcohol overdose. Led Zeppelin was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 1995.
I currently have three Jimi Hendrix albums, Are You Experienced, Electric Ladyland, and Band Of Gypsys. I enjoy them all, but I think my favorite album is Are You Experienced, which has hits like Purple Haze, Fire, Hey Joe, and Foxy Lady. Hendrix was born in Seattle Washington. From 1961 to 1966 he toured with a number of of rhythm-and-blues shows. In 1966 Jimi moved to England and founded the Jimi Hendrix Experience, a trio that included drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding. The group made it's debut in Paris, France and toured over the European continent and England over the next two years. At age 27 , Hendrix died in London after taking barbiturates.
